Covid19 Travel: Festive Season in Poland

2020 is almost finished and Christmas celebrations are done and dusted. This year Christmas time was a little bit different due to the covid19 pandemic. I had a chance to have a brief visit to Warsaw, Gdansk, Krakow and my hometown Bialystok just before Christmas. Sadly there were no Christmas markets this year and no tourists as there were various restrictions in place. However, the Christmas decorations and lights were amazing – Warsaw was definitely the most festive looking city, while Krakow felt very sad and lacked any kind of Christmas feeling – not many decorations at all. I am sure we will all remember this Christmas, but hopefully it will only be a distant memory. Here’s to a happier and prosperous 2021!
