Reply timmay20147 on October 20, 2020 at 1:46 pm Thanks Eric for keeping Hawaii alive. You have done more than the visitors bureau has done to promote tourism and keep the locals feeding their family. I have been to the islands from the east coast about 25 times and your videos show me things each time I never knew. You are a blessing to these great island and keep it going. Lunch on me next visit in 2021. Reply The Heathen on October 20, 2020 at 1:46 pm Everyone is welcome and Aloha is given but remember to be respectful. COVID-19 doesn’t end just because you are on vacation. A lot of locals are very worried about the numbers going back up and our island being locked back down. Please come but please remember that you are our guests and act accordingly. Aloha🤙🏻 Reply Brett Loock on October 20, 2020 at 1:46 pm Great job Eric 👏 👍 🤙 Reply Sean Patrick Kelly on October 20, 2020 at 1:46 pm MISS KIMOS' SHOUT OUT TO OLD BARTENDERS. Reply Susan Graham on October 20, 2020 at 1:46 pm Great job walking around showing us Lahaina town , it’s good to know the best places to eat it’s really important and you meet such lovely people along the way. 🦋🇦🇺 Reply Don Miller on October 20, 2020 at 1:46 pm What hotel were that couple staying at? Are any of the bigger resort hotels open? Reply Jimbo The Coastie on October 20, 2020 at 1:46 pm I don't know if Dairy Queen is still making these foods there but when I lived on Maui, we would go to the DQ and get the best chow fun, egg rolls, wontons and other foods that were outstanding and reasonably priced. Reply Paige Ledbetter on October 20, 2020 at 1:46 pm My husband and I have been here since October 15th and found a local bar last night that was open for dinner. The locals there told us that the people that live in Hana are slashing the tires of those that visit the parks hike. Another local said they have lived here for 25 years and would not consider going to Hana because of the hostile environment. We really wanted to hike all of the trails but are now worried to leave our condo. We are now very concerned that we will run into hostile residents everywhere. Have you heard anything about this? Reply Ronnie K on October 20, 2020 at 1:46 pm Hello. We live in Saskatchewan, Canada and Maui/Lahaina and this has been our vacation spot for the past several years. We desperately want to get back there and support the economy. We can probably get our Covid test here within the 72 hours , close call, but our biggest fear is having our test rejected for some reason and have to quarantine for 14 days. Not sure if Canadians can get a Covid test in the USA?? We stay at Lahaina Shores, a great place but not a quarantine hotel. Looks like Lahaina is doing its best to reopen but not sure how much of it is really going to. Catch 22, they need the tourists but most everyone is scared to travel. We love Kimos and Lelanis at Whalers Village and lots of others places to eat and drink for happy hours. Looking pretty grim for us to get there, heart broken. 😥. Take care and let’s keep our 🤞 that this Covid madness subsides quickly or gone altogether. Reply Garry Melvin on October 20, 2020 at 1:46 pm On my list of places to visit! Reply stephen jendro on October 20, 2020 at 1:46 pm Hi Eric, here is a fun song by my band Opaline. Oh it's hard to leave Hawaii https://m.soundcloud.com/opalinemusic/hard-to-leave-hawaii?ref=clipboard&p=a&c=0 Reply Joel Slone on October 20, 2020 at 1:46 pm Aloha Eric, & greetings from Vancouver B C Canada. So far there’s no info. on where Canadians can get Covid tested here before departure that will be accepted upon arrival at the Maui airport. Surely the Hawaiian department of health wants their Canadian friends to be able to arrive in paradise, have acceptable documentation in hand, so they wouldn’t have to quarantine for 14 days. Thank you for all the time & effort you take to supply we mainlanders with such great info. from navigating the airport upon arrival to suggestions on where to stay; ETC. 🤟 Reply Lisa Green on October 20, 2020 at 1:46 pm Thank you for all the updates. I love Maui as well… wish you would do some videos on the Big Island, Kona. Reply Harvey Mulock on October 20, 2020 at 1:46 pm Eric 'The Dirty Monkey' as you call it now used to be 'Moose Magillicudy's' (sp) back in the day! It was a happening nightspot as well as a great breakfast spot early in the morning. Has it moved farther down Front Street now or to the other side of the Island? Reply Peter Bundy on October 20, 2020 at 1:46 pm Our favorite Lahaina restaurant for lunch on the water! Reply Martin Titus on October 20, 2020 at 1:46 pm How does property taxes work? Reply eljefeguapobarbon on October 20, 2020 at 1:46 pm So no masks eh? Reply 911TS on October 20, 2020 at 1:46 pm Been visiting Maui almost every year for 40+ years (except this year) ate at Jim’s over a couple dozen times unfortunately it’s a hit or miss ,no offense Eric but it’s no way the best on Maui. One year the wife and I waited over an hour and the hostess let her friends go in before everybody, the waiting patrons were very angry and left. Complained to manager they put by the the swinging waiter doors, we left. Reply Submit a Comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
